Travelling Diary: Travel to Ningbo, China

We woke up at 6.30 a.m. and went to look for the shop where we can get our train tickets to Hong Kong but the agent office only open at 8.00 a.m. We went to the Moon Lake Park to take some photos then went back to the train agent office to get our tickets. Unfortunately, all tickets on the 16/5 were sold out and we only able to get our train tickets for the next day. We had to take the 1st train to North Hangzhou station then change another train to Hong Kong. The ticket cost $680.00 rem plus $20.00 rem for the service charges.

We went back to the hotel to arrange for another night stay and been told it was alright and just pay for the deposit to Judy then pay the balance when we check out. After settle the hotel room for another night we went to look for my friends and sisters.

Left all our luggages in one room and went to have our breakfast. We went shopping at the City Centre again. The Shopping Malls of Qizha Jie, all shops were selling high street brands and quite costly. We were not keen to shop so we went to a cafe and enjoy drinks and snacks. While waiting for my sister, Lancy, Lian Heng and Judy to do the shopping spree.

My relatives and friends will be leaving for the airport around 4.00 p.m. to board a flight to Singapore. We spent a free and easy day. Went back to the hotel Raj went to buy some Kentucky chickens for everyone and my sister, Poh Choo bought some snacks for them to eat in the plane as it will take them 5 hours journey to reach Singapore.

At 4.00 p.m., my friends and relatives took 2 taxi to the airport and we went to look for the old library which is 2,000 years old and it is near the Moon Lake Park. Reached the library but they were closed at 5.00 p.m.

So we went to the Old custom site of Zhejiang. It took us 2 hours walk to reach the Dock so we enjoy ourselves here for a few hours. Spent 5 hours happily taking photo and didn't realise that we missed our last bus and had to take a taxi back to the hotel. Luckily the fare back to the hotel was cheap and cost us $15.00 rem.
